We offer a day and night pilot operated Armament System with machine guns, Rocket Launchers or any other weapon system, located on aircraft both sides.
The system manufactured by Rock Wings Ltd. can fit most of Western and Eastern rotary and fix wing multi role aircraft and is tailor made according to operators special requirements.
 

Our helicopter systems main components are: 

External mounts 
Light Weight Aeronautical stable construction attached to the aircraft fuselage hard points, providing strength and at the same time minimizes system weight penalty.  The mount  is designed to meet aircraft's structure. 

 

14" store carrier/ Jettison external rack
14" NATO release units are incorporated to the mount creating a carrying position for the armament and other stores. The weapons release unit provides suspension and release of the weapons by electrical or pyrotechnic mechanism, providing the force to initiate hook release. A safety mechanism is provided to positively lock the release mechanism when a safety pin is installed.
 

Reflex sight
Electro-optical Reflex Sight is used for axial weapons operation such as machine guns and rockets. The aiming reticle image is collimated to the infinity and than reflected by a semi- transparent mirror that overlays it upon the target. An Electronic Control Unit controls the sight from the panel or from a switch located on pilot`s stick.
 

Firing Control Box
The firing control box is located in front of the pilot, enabling the pilot numerous actions including control of the weapon type, choosing the firing side (LH, RH), number of rockets, laser designator, re-cocking and jettison in case of emergency. The system is secured by a safety pin which is removed prior to take off.
 

Laser designator
To improve guns night aiming capability Rock Wings Ltd. will install a Long Range IR Laser Aiming Light.
The Super Long Range Infra-Red Laser Aiming Device designed for aircraft-mounted weapons will be used, enables pointing and designating targets at distances up to 10km. The Laser beam is seen to pilot's eyes only when using NVG (Night Vision Goggles). As the beam and weapons are parallel installed, the weapons will immediately be pointed to the same target and will guarantee accurate firing.

Rocket Launchers
Rock Wings Ltd. offers 2.75" FFAR & Wrap Around rocket launchers with single or ripple firing options. The launcher has a useful life of 50 firings per tube. An electronic intervalometer is optional.
